The Association of University Radiation Protection Officers has the principal aim of increasing knowledge and understanding of radiation protection in the HERT sector through the promotion and interchange of information and best practice. AURPO holds its Annual Conference and AGM each year in early September.

Julie Turner of Loughborough University has been appointed as the new President of AURPO. She took over from Pete Cole of University of Liverpool at the AGM on 5 September.
